A seminar in Petrolina will discuss the sustainable cultivation of forage palm as a vital source of feed for livestock.
A seminar focusing on the cultivation of forage palm is scheduled to take place on Sunday (15) at the Municipal School JosΓ© CΓcero de Amorim, located in the Rajada district of Petrolina, Pernambuco. This event aims to emphasize the significance of sustainable planting and management practices for forage palm, which is critical for livestock nourishment and improving herd quality. Discussions will cover various aspects of forage palm cultivation, highlighting its role in agricultural sustainability in the region.
The 2nd seminar will feature free online registrations and promises insightful presentations from industry experts. Notably, ZΓ© Lucas, an agribusiness consultant, will discuss genetic improvement in goats and sheep, while zootecnist Alberto Suassuna will elaborate on the management and cultivation of forage palm. The seminar's content is designed to provide valuable knowledge for local farmers, enhancing their understanding of optimal practices for livestock nutrition and health through effective palm management.
This initiative is part of the "Palma da Gente" program and is carried out in collaboration with the City of Petrolina's Rural Development Secretariat, Sebrae, and the Municipal Entrepreneurship Agency (AGE Petrolina).
