A structure in Kibbutz Kabri suffered a direct hit; 20 killed in Lebanon due to IDF attacks
A structure in Kibbutz Kabri was hit during clashes as Hezbollah fired on Israel, leading to casualties and significant Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon.
On Friday morning, sirens were activated across northern Israel as Hezbollah launched attacks, resulting in a direct hit on a structure in Kibbutz Kabri. The attack injured two residents; a woman in her 50s and a man in his 60s, who were transported to the hospital for treatment. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted extensive airstrikes against various targets in Lebanon, including a bridge in the Litani River area, which they claimed was used by Hezbollah. Reports from Lebanese sources indicated that at least 20 people were killed in these strikes, marking a significant escalation in hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
In Tyre, nine individuals were reported killed, including five children, while the rest of the casualties occurred in the eastern and southern regions of Lebanon due to bombardments. The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed these fatalities, adding that another death resulted from an attack on a vehicle in Beirut. The escalation of violence underscores the ongoing tension and hostilities in the region, with significant humanitarian concerns arising from the high number of casualties.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Lebanon would bear a growing cost in territorial loss and damage to national infrastructure, which Hezbollah utilizes for terrorist activities against Israel. Katz criticized the Lebanese government's failure to disarm Hezbollah as previously promised, warning that Lebanon would face consequences for not adhering to its commitments. His remarks reflect the broader conflict dynamics and the serious risks of further escalation in the Israeli-Lebanese confrontation.
