As of March 3, 2026, the Greek-owned fleet has reached a remarkable count of 4,388 vessels over 1,000 gross tons, marking a notable increase in both the number of ships and their total carrying capacity. According to data released by the Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee in London, alongside a study by S&P Global Market Intelligence, this increase represents an addition of 167 vessels compared to the previous year. The total deadweight tonnage (DWT) grew by over 6.4 million and total gross tonnage (GT) increased by over 3.1 million, highlighting the robust growth of Greek maritime interests in global shipping.
