In a significant move, 35 parliamentarians from various political parties in Lithuania have signed a document urging the Seimas to dismiss Darijus Beinoravicius from the Board of Ethics and Standards (VTEK). This action results from concerns regarding his integrity following reports that he submitted plagiarized materials. Among the signatories are members from the Conservative Party, the Liberals, and the Democratic Party, highlighting a cross-party consensus on the matter.

Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, one of the leading voices advocating for this dismissal, stated that VTEK must uphold an impeccable reputation as a standard for ethical conduct within the institution. She emphasized the importance of protecting VTEK's authority and maintaining public trust in its operations, suggesting that failing to act on the allegations could undermine the integrity of the entire institution.
