‘Moved’ the brother-in-law and father-in-law of Iván Archivaldo to a maximum-security prison
The government of Jalisco has transferred Mario Lindoro Elenes and Mario Alfredo Lindoro Navidad, relatives of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, to a higher-security federal prison as part of a coordinated operation against organized crime.
The government of Jalisco has recently executed a transfer of high-profile inmates, including Mario Lindoro Elenes and Mario Alfredo Lindoro Navidad, who are identified as the father-in-law and brother-in-law of notorious drug lord Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar. This maneuver aims to enhance security and control among the penitentiaries in the region, particularly targeting individuals heavily involved in organized crime. The transfer was conducted alongside 14 other inmates deemed to be high-risk to the overall safety of the prison network.
According to state Secretary of Security Juan Pablo Hernández González, the operation was executed in collaboration with federal forces and involved inmates from various penitentiaries, including Puente Grande, which is known for housing prominent figures from organized crime. The official statements indicated that the transferred individuals have ties to significant criminal organizations including the Sinaloa Cartel, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, and the Beltrán Leyva Organization.
This move reflects a broader strategy by Mexican authorities to tackle the influential hold of organized crime groups within the country's prison system. By relocating these individuals to maximum-security facilities, the government seeks to mitigate their ability to orchestrate criminal activities from behind bars, thereby improving overall security and reducing the challenges posed by these criminal factions in society.
