Revolutionary Guard threatened U.S. troops
Iran's Revolutionary Guard threatened U.S. troops in the Middle East, demanding they leave the area immediately or face dire consequences.
On Friday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a stark threat to U.S. military personnel stationed in the Middle East, urging them to withdraw 'immediately' from the region. The message purportedly warns that failure to comply could lead to their demise, suggesting they would be 'buried under the rubble.' This declaration comes amid escalating tensions in the region, and in conjunction with the IRGC's announcement about launching a new wave of missile attacks as part of 'Operation Sadeq 4', aimed at Israeli and U.S. targets.
The IRGC detailed that this latest phase of their operations was marked by a significant barrage of Kheibar Shekan missiles, which are medium-range ballistic missiles developed by Iran. The rockets, reported to carry warheads of one ton, allegedly targeted specific locations within Israel, including several areas in Western Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Eilat. These missile strikes are characterized by Iran as retaliation against what they term as the 'Sionist occupiers', indicating a deep-rooted hostility toward both Israel and the U.S.
The timing of these threats coincides with a significant period in Iranian military commemoration, linking the attacks to the remembrance of fallen fighters and the proximity of the Day of Al Quds. This situation underscores the persistent volatility in the Middle East, particularly regarding U.S.-Iran relations and the ongoing tension with Israel, indicating that such threats could have far-reaching implications for security and diplomatic efforts in the region.
