The candidates confirmed include Noh Young-min, former Chief of Staff to the President, Song Gi-seop, former mayor of Jincheon, Shin Yong-han, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Committee on the Local Era, and Han Beom-deok, former mayor of Cheongju. This decision comes after scrutiny regarding the party's candidate selection process in the region, prompting the adjustment of polling weight in the selection process to 70% for the general public and 30% for party members to ensure fairness.
