Aftonbladet's photographers achieved remarkable recognition at the Årets bild competition, clinching four first-place awards out of eight nominated photographs. The event, organized by the Pressfotografernas klubb (PFK), celebrated outstanding achievements in photojournalism within Sweden. Mats Strand, the photo chief of Aftonbladet, expressed joy and pride in the acknowledgment of the newspaper's talented photographers and their impactful photojournalism.

Among the notable winners was Pontus Orre, who received the first prize in the Sports category for his evocative image from the World Cup qualifier match between Sweden and Switzerland, held at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm.
