The favorite commentator had incredible luck in a car accident
Commentator Ville Kuusinen experienced a car accident while traveling from Tampere to Helsinki, but was fortunate to escape with minor damage.
Ville Kuusinen, a popular sports commentator in Finland, was involved in a car accident on February 26 while traveling from Tampere to Helsinki. The incident occurred on a treacherous stretch of the Tampere-Helsinki highway, where Kuusinen lost control of his vehicle while attempting to overtake a truck. Fortunately, he had not yet reached the truck's side when he lost control, allowing him to avoid a more serious collision. The road conditions that day were poor, contributing to the accident.
Kuusinen recounted the incident during a broadcast with Tuomas Virkkunen on the Urheilucast program, sharing how he instinctively pressed the brake, which caused the rear of the car to spin around. In a twist of fate, there were no guardrails on that stretch of the road, and Kuusinen ended up sliding into a snowbank where the accumulation was about 30-40 centimeters deep.
Despite the scary ordeal, the car suffered only minor damage, and Kuusinen expressed a sense of relief that the accident was not more serious. He was on his way to commentate a match between KuPS and Lech Poznan, highlighting how unexpected events can occur even in routine journeys.
