Qatar SC: Mancini Left by Agreement.. Here are the Reasons for His Inability to Return

The Qatari club Al Sadd announced that its Italian coach Roberto Mancini is unable to return to Qatar due to circumstances surrounding the ongoing conflict in the region, following his previously arranged departure for family medical reasons.

Al Sadd, the reigning champions of the Qatari Professional League, announced that head coach Roberto Mancini has not been able to return to Qatar since departing for family medical reasons. Mancini's departure was pre-arranged following a match against Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal in the AFC Champions League, which has been postponed indefinitely. His exit came as tensions rose due to the ongoing American-Israeli conflict regarding Iran, complicating travel arrangements.

The club clarified via social media that Mancini's absence is a result of circumstances beyond both his and the club's control, particularly noting travel restrictions and concerns stemming from the geopolitical situation. In the meantime, assistant coach Sergio Allegri will take charge of the team for their upcoming match against Umm Salal as they navigate their coaching situation until Mancini's safe return.

Competitive play in the Qatari League has resumed after a hiatus since early March, with Al Sadd currently leading the standings with 38 points, four points ahead of second-placed Al Gharafa. The club is in a critical phase of the season, making Mancini's return vital for maintaining high performance as they pursue their title defense against rival teams in the league.
