The low-cost Plus Ultra arrives to operate the Buenos Aires-Madrid route

The Spanish airline Plus Ultra is set to launch its Buenos Aires-Madrid flights with an expected high occupancy rate.

The airline Plus Ultra is planning to commence its low-cost flights between Buenos Aires and Madrid, expecting occupancy rates exceeding 90%. The first flight is scheduled to depart from Madrid on May 23, arriving in Buenos Aires the following day. In the initial phase, the airline will operate two flights weekly, with plans to increase to three flights starting in June, aiming to achieve daily flights within two years. This move reflects an enthusiastic market response in Argentina, showing a strong demand for the connectivity offered by Plus Ultra.

Gibson Preziuso, the director of Alliances, Communications, and Industry Affairs at Plus Ultra, stated that both Argentina and Spain are responding positively to the new service. They anticipate that the connection will eventually allow for additional routes from other Argentine cities, such as Córdoba, Mendoza, or Misiones, thereby expanding travel options between Argentina and Spain.

This initiative not only represents an expansion of low-cost travel options for passengers but also aims to enhance tourism and business connectivity between the two nations. As airlines worldwide continue to adapt to post-pandemic travel needs, Plus Ultra's entry into this market could signify a competitive shift in air travel between Latin America and Europe, further stimulating demand in both regions.
