Most expensive streets MAPPED: See where houses are on market for £12.5million
A recent analysis reveals the most expensive streets in Britain, dominated by London locations, with the most costly street listed at £12.5 million.
An analysis conducted by the property website Rightmove has mapped out the most expensive streets for home sales across Britain. Notably, the majority of the streets listed are in London, with Winnington Road in Barnet taking the top position, boasting an average asking price of £12,538,095. Following this, Chester Square in Westminster and The Bishops Avenue in Barnet follow in second and third place, respectively, indicating a trend of high-value real estate in the capital.
Interestingly, East Road in Elmbridge, Surrey, stands out as the only street outside of London to make it into the top 20 list, with an average asking price of £8,795,714, showcasing that high-priced homes are not exclusively a London phenomenon. Besides these, Drumsheugh Gardens in Edinburgh and Hollybush Road in Cardiff represent the most expensive streets in Scotland and Wales with average prices of £560,000 and £1,237,500, respectively.
This data sheds light on the increase in property prices across the UK and the disparity between London and other regions, particularly in terms of luxury real estate. The findings may influence potential buyers' decisions and reflect broader economic trends affecting the housing market across the UK.
