The New Album by "Die Sauna": A Band Finds Support

The Munich band Die Sauna has released their third album titled 'Tut beni', which translates to 'Hold Me' in English.

Die Sauna, a band hailing from Munich, has launched their third album, 'Tut beni', which means 'Hold Me' in Turkish. This album is significant as it features a key track titled 'Skit', which reflects the band's evolution in sound and lyrical composition. Their music has gained popularity since their formation in 2016, and they have previously opened for notable bands such as Wanda and Tocotronic.

The band’s journey began with the release of their EP 'Elektra' in 2017, leading to their debut album 'So schön wie jetzt war es noch nie' in 2019. However, the pandemic impacted their plans, causing a delay in their follow-up album, which was initially set to release in 2021. The new album, now launched in February, showcases their signature blend of rich sounds and intricately woven lyrics, with the opening track 'Skit' starting with ethereal sounds that evoke emotional questioning.

In 'Skit', lead vocalist Mathias Berg expresses feelings of helplessness regarding a friend's struggles. The song features a Turkish verse by Anil Coskun, who contributes not only to the band's music but also designs their artworks. This multicultural aspect represents a blending of influences, showing how the band is not only telling their own stories but also connecting with broader themes of friendship and support within their music, fostering a sense of community through their art.
