Defense of Vorcaro denies negotiating plea bargain of the banker

The defense team of banker Daniel Vorcaro has denied media reports suggesting they are negotiating a plea bargain with the Attorney General's Office in Brazil.

The defense of Daniel Vorcaro, the owner of Banco Master, has publicly refuted claims that they are in negotiations for a plea bargain with the Attorney General's Office (PGR). The attorney team claims that these rumors are false and intended to undermine their efforts during a critical time period in the case. They emphasized that no information about plea deal discussions has come from any of the lawyers representing Vorcaro.

Recently, two of Vorcaro's attorneys visited him in a maximum-security prison in Brasília, where they separately met with him to discuss the ongoing legal proceedings. Their immediate priority is the judgment scheduled for Friday, where the Segunda Turma of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) will review a decision made by Minister André Mendonça, who ordered Vorcaro's preventive detention earlier this month.

The situation around Vorcaro remains tense as legal maneuvers unfold, with the defense alluding to external intentions to disrupt their work. With the impending decision from the STF, the outcome could have significant implications for Vorcaro's future and the operations of Banco Master, underscoring the ongoing challenges in Brazil's financial and legal systems.
