Kadyrov Slams ‘Unacceptable’ Iranian Strikes on UAE

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov criticized Iranian attacks on civilian infrastructure in the UAE, deeming them 'unacceptable' while expressing support for the Emirati leadership.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader, has publicly condemned the recent Iranian attacks on civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries, branding such actions 'unacceptable'. In his view, even if these strikes were in retaliation to supposed aggression from the United States and Israel, targeting civilians and crucial infrastructure in a third nation cannot be justified. Kadyrov expressed this sentiment through a post on Telegram, illustrating his commitment to maintaining a stance against acts that result in civilian casualties.

Further emphasizing his comments, Kadyrov expressed solidarity with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, whom he referred to as an 'elder brother.' He highlighted that the UAE has historically maintained peaceful relations with its neighbors and has not posed military threats. His remarks come at a time when the Emirati leadership is under pressure to protect its citizens and territory following the Iranian strikes, marking a significant moment in Chechen foreign policy positioning towards regional conflicts in the Gulf.

Kadyrov also used this opportunity to criticize the ongoing U.S.-Israeli operations against Iran, indicating that these actions could escalate tensions in the region. His dual condemnation of both the Iranian strikes and U.S.-Israeli aggression marks a complex geopolitical stance that seeks to navigate the intricate relations between these nations while asserting Chechnya’s loyalty to Russian interests in the broader context of Middle Eastern politics.
