Innovative system at the border with Belarus. Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration revealed details

Poland plans to enhance border security with Belarus through an innovative detection system aimed at combating illegal migration and monitoring aerial threats, disclosed during a press conference.

On March 12, a press conference was held in Ozierany Duże, near the border with Belarus, where Marcin Kierwiński, head of Poland's Ministry of the Interior and Administration, announced details of a new innovative system designed to strengthen Poland's defenses against illegal immigration from the eastern border. This initiative aims to introduce the first detection system on the Polish-Belarusian border that will also have capabilities to identify and counter aerial threats, including drones.

Kierwiński referenced a prior visit to the same area with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, where they expressed gratitude to the Polish Border Guard, police forces, and the military for their efforts. During this visit, they indicated the importance of improved security measures due to increasing challenges from illegal migrations, largely influenced by regional geopolitical tensions. The new system is seen as a critical component in enhancing the capacity to monitor and respond to unauthorized aerial activities, which have become more prevalent in recent years.

As Poland continues to face pressures at its eastern border, the government remains committed to implementing high-tech solutions to secure its borders. This new detection system not only aims to curb illegal migration but also highlights Poland's proactive approach to adapting to modern security challenges, emphasizing technology's role in national security.
