Today bike ride and tasting
Milano is celebrating Ireland Week with over 50 free events highlighting Irish culture, including a Bike Food Tour featuring tastings of Irish specialties.
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Milan is immersed in the spirit of Ireland Week, which is celebrating its fifth edition this year with more than 50 free events aimed at showcasing Irish culture. From music and art to cinema and gastronomy, the week offers an array of activities that invite the community to engage with the richness of Irish traditions. The city is adorned in green, reflecting the emerald hues of Ireland itself, captivating both locals and tourists alike.
A standout feature of this year's festivities is the 'Rigoletto' boat, which sails along the Naviglio, offering live Irish music and featuring an Irish-themed aperitif every evening. Today's highlight is the 'Bike Food Tour,' taking place from 7 PM to 9 PM, where participants will gather at the historic bicycle shop located at Corso Garibaldi 71. This amateur cycling event will not only encourage physical activity but will also integrate stops along the route for tasting and enjoying traditional Irish specialty foods, thereby creating a festive atmosphere filled with camaraderie and cultural exchange.
Moreover, from tomorrow until Sunday, Milan will host outdoor sports events at 'Fa' La cosa Giusta' at the Rho Fiera Polo in Pavilion 16. This additional aspect of the week reinforces the celebratory spirit while promoting an active lifestyle and connecting community members through shared experiences. The dedication to introducing Milanese residents and visitors to the allure of Irish culture underlines the importance of cultural exchange in fostering community relationships and understanding between diverse traditions.
