The 34th edition of the Curitiba Festival, one of the largest performing arts events in Latin America, has kicked off with remarkable enthusiasm from the public, indicated by the speedy sell-out of tickets for two of the festival's featured plays within an hour of sales opening. The festival, which runs from March 30 to April 12, boasts over 435 performances in various venues across Curitiba and the surrounding metropolitan area, showcasing a wide range of artistic expressions including theater, dance, circus, humor, music, and gastronomy.

The festival is renowned for its collection of award-winning and critically acclaimed theater shows, alongside national premieres and diverse cultural offerings. Among the first performances to sell out were “O Motociclista no Globo da Morte,” a monologue featuring Eduardo Moscovis; and an adaptation of José Saramago’s work titled “(Um) Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira,” presented by the Grupo Gal. The demand highlights the festival's significance in the cultural calendar of Brazil, attracting both local audiences and visitors from other regions.
