Ice cream from Dailidė's house washed away by the Neris River in Vilnius

A wooden structure from a sauna rental business was seen drifting on the Neris River in Vilnius before being secured by firefighters.

In Vilnius, a wooden sauna structure associated with the rental business "Ivanas muša gongą" drifted down the Neris River in the midst of a surprising sight for local residents. The unusual incident drew attention as the structure floated with chunks of ice, eventually drawing the concern of the local fire department. Firefighters intervened to secure the sauna near the Žaliasis tiltas bridge, preventing any further drifting down the river.

Witnesses noted the peculiar sight of a wooden structure, belonging to a known health advocate, Simonas Dailidė, making its way through the city center, which is typically not accustomed to such events. The sauna, having been secured to a riverbank near the Seimas (Lithuanian parliament), garnered the interest of passersby, many of whom expressed their astonishment at the event unfolding before them in broad daylight.

Simonas Dailidė, the president of the Lithuanian Healthy Lifestyle Union, had previously announced the nearing completion of this house in 2020. After a year of renovations to rejuvenate the structure, its unexpected journey down the river provided an unforeseen spectacle that highlighted both the character of the city and the uncertainties of fluctuating weather conditions that have impacted the local waterways.
