Rheinmetall increased its sales by nearly 30% in 2025 and expects a rise of up to 45% this year

German defense giant Rheinmetall reported a nearly 30% increase in sales for 2025 and projects a further rise of up to 45% this year, largely propelled by increased defense spending linked to the conflict in Ukraine.

Rheinmetall, Germany's largest defense contractor, announced a significant increase in its sales by nearly 30% in 2025, reaching approximately 9.9 billion euros. The company attributes this remarkable growth to heightened defense spending among NATO countries, mainly due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the escalating threat from Russia. Their diversification into both land and aerospace capabilities demonstrates their ambition to secure a more substantial role in the global defense market.

The operational profit for Rheinmetall also saw an impressive increase of 33%, reaching around 1.8 billion euros, indicating a robust demand for their military products, which now include artillery, tanks, munitions, as well as parts for aircraft and ships. As NATO countries continue to confront security challenges, Rheinmetall’s growth is expected to accelerate even further as these nations invest heavily in defense.

Looking ahead, Rheinmetall is optimistic about its future, projecting to quintuple its revenue by 2030. This ambitious goal reflects a broader shift within the defense industry towards modernization and preparedness, which is rapidly evolving in response to geopolitical tensions and military needs, thereby positioning Rheinmetall to capitalize on an expanding defense budget among its client states.
