Death of a former prosecutor and his son. Preliminary findings after the autopsy
Two bodies, identified as a former prosecutor and his son, were discovered in Rybnik, prompting an investigation into the circumstances of their deaths.
On March 7, 2026, in Rybnik, the bodies of two men were discovered: 68-year-old Jerzy H. and his 41-year-old son, Lukasz. The authorities initiated appropriate measures at the scene, including interviewing the individual who reported the discovery of the bodies. Investigations began to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the event. The autopsy results were expected to provide clarity on how the men died.
On March 11, the Gliwice District Attorney's Office announced that the autopsy was conducted that day, but they could not yet determine the causes of death of the victims. The spokesperson, Agnieszka Bukowska, indicated that the prosecutor has ordered further tests, including extended histopathological and toxicological examinations, which will help establish the reasons behind the deaths.
The bodies of the former prosecutor and his son were found in Rybnik, and it has been revealed that the older man was a former prosecutor from the Katowice Appeal Prosecutor's Office, information that was later officially confirmed. This case raises questions not only about the circumstances of their deaths but also about the implications of losing a figure associated with the judicial system, reflecting on the community's safety and trust in legal institutions.
