According to the Ceará Meteorological and Water Resources Foundation (Funceme), the area experienced 28 millimeters of rain on that day. The occurrence of lightning has been common in Ceará, with over 20,448 electrical discharges recorded in the first days of March, indicating a rise in storm activity.
