The Ateneo Corporation, led by academic Cumandá Campi Cevallos, commemorates International Women’s Day with an event focusing on women's contributions and the presentation of Aminta Buenaño's book.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Ateneo Corporation in Ecuador is set to host an event that emphasizes women's contributions across various fields. Led by Cumandá Campi Cevallos, the event aims to celebrate and highlight the achievements of women while also addressing ongoing struggles faced by them.
One of the highlights of the event will be the book presentation of 'Platos rotos,' a compilation by Ecuadorian author Aminta Buenaño. During the event, Buenaño will discuss the theme of female empowerment through literature, showcasing how written words can inspire and drive change. It aims to not only spotlight individual achievements but also the collective struggle of women today.
Scheduled for March 11 at 14:00, the event will take place at the Gary Esparza Fabiani Art and Culture Center in Babahoyo. With free entry, it is designed to serve as a platform for broader discussions around gender issues, aiming to amplify women's voices and experiences in society.
