Brno bought Dalík's land near the ANO headquarters, paying one million more than the appraisal indicated

The city of Brno has purchased land from Dalík's company for a higher price than assessed, aiming to consolidate ownership of local communication routes.

Brno, a city in Czechia, has successfully acquired five parcels of land owned by the company Bramley, linked to Dalík, for a total cost exceeding the official valuation by one million crowns. Dalík, who had previously not publicly acknowledged his ownership of the company, revealed this information only after the implementation of a register for true property owners. These parcels, which have been leased for parking adjacent to the local ANO party headquarters, present an important aspect of the city's property management and planning strategy.

The municipality expressed its intent to streamline control over local communication routes, surrounding the purchased land and reinforcing the connectivity of the region. As articulated by Klára Opálková from the city’s press department, this transaction is seen as part of a standard property settlement process relating to land under municipal roads. In previous discussions, Brno city representatives had already engaged with Dalík's company regarding the lands more than two years prior to this purchase, highlighting the ongoing strategic interest in managing urban land effectively.

In June 2024, the city declined a proposal from Bramley for a land exchange, seeking to maintain direct ownership of the strategic parcels. A special evaluation commissioned in October of the same year had previously determined the value of these parcels, which reflects the city's broader goals of comprehensive urban planning and resource allocation in growing its infrastructure, while ensuring transparency in local governance and property ownership.
