The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of 15-year-old Natasha Aguiar Matos in rural Passos, Minas Gerais. Natasha was discovered by her boyfriend with 17 stab wounds, prompting a police investigation. The suspects were located following a tracing operation by the Military Police, in collaboration with local Civil Police, after receiving tips about workers residing near the crime scene. During the search efforts, the police received information suggesting that workers from nearby farms were living in a house about two kilometers from the victim's home. The suspects were stopped near this house and claimed they lived there. Upon gaining permission from one of the suspects, the police conducted a search of the premises, uncovering clothes with stains and an object with hair that seemed to be human. The crime scene was preserved for forensic examination. The arrests highlight the continued efforts of law enforcement to address violent crimes in the area.
