Shi Guojun, known for his expertise in memory chips, has relocated from the United States to China to take a significant role at DK Electronic Materials (DKEM), where he will serve as the chief strategic scientist and director of the Future Industry Research Institute. His appointment at DKEM marks a notable shift as the company seeks to expand its operations into the semiconductor memory sector, a move that highlights the growing significance of the semiconductor industry in China's technological landscape.
DKEM, based in Yixing, Wuxi, has established itself as a leader in the photovoltaic materials market, holding a 25% global market share in photovoltaic metallisation paste, which is vital for solar cell manufacturing. The company went public on Shenzhen’s ChiNext startup board in 2020 and has since pursued innovative advancements.
