Ivan Egorov announced joining the electoral coalition Plan B - The Pulse of Narva
Ivan Egorov has announced his decision to join the electoral coalition Plan B, which secures a majority for a new coalition in Narva, Estonia.
Ivan Egorov, a member of the Narva faction Respekt, has publicly announced his decision to join the electoral coalition Plan B - Narva Linna Pulss during an interview on ERR's Russian-language program 'Otse uudistemajast'. This decision signifies a crucial shift in the political landscape of Narva, as it provides the necessary majority for forming a new coalition in the local government, effectively dismantling the existing coalition led by Katri Raik.
Egorov stated that his departure from the Respekt faction, where he served as vice-chairman, means that the current coalition loses its majority. Plan B, in conjunction with the Centre Party, now holds the crucial 16 representatives needed to establish a new coalition. Through his announcement, Egorov emphasized the importance of this political transition, marking a pivotal moment for Narva's governance.
Urbo Vaarmann, the leader of Plan B β Narva Linna Pulss, commented on the three-month dialogue that led to Egorovβs decision, clarifying that they did not attempt to lure him away but rather addressed his questions. He expressed a desire to bring change to Narva, highlighting the significance of this development for the future political dynamics of the city.
