Qatar has affirmed it will not act as a mediator between Iran and other nations while under attack, amidst a wave of Iranian missile strikes in the region.
The conflict in the Middle East is increasingly affecting Gulf countries, with ongoing missile strikes from Iran targeting US airbases and Israeli locations in addition to Qatar. Recently, Doha experienced multiple explosions, which have heightened the sense of fear and uncertainty in the region. In light of these attacks, Qatari officials have made it clear that their country will not participate in mediation efforts while it continues to be attacked, a stance expressed by Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulafi in an interview with Al Jazeera.
