Record-breaking sales of DDA flats, 30,000 homes sold in 4 years

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has reported significant profits and a surge in residential unit sales over the past four years due to increased demand and new sales strategies.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has recently reported a substantial increase in profits and sales of residential units, with the sale of nearly 30,000 homes over the last four years. According to official data released on Tuesday, this surge can be attributed to growing demand for housing and the implementation of new sales strategies, such as the 'First-Come-First-Serve' plan and online booking processes, which have successfully attracted buyers. Areas that were previously characterized by unsold flats, notably Narela and Dwarka, are witnessing rapid sales due to improvements in connectivity and infrastructure development.

Between 2022-23 and 2025-26, the DDA sold a total of 29,909 housing units, marking an impressive 340.9% increase compared to the 6,783 units sold during the previous four years from 2018-19 to 2021-22. This significant uptick in sales has also led to a notable rise in revenue, which increased by 152.9% to reach ₹10,446 crore, up from ₹4,130 crore in the earlier period. Officials attribute this remarkable growth to robust market demand and a streamlined sales process that has resonated well with potential homebuyers, making it a landmark achievement for the authority in the real estate sector.

This trend not only highlights the effectiveness of the DDA's sales strategies but also indicates a growing confidence among buyers in the housing market, fueled by infrastructural advancements that enhance living conditions in previously underserved areas. The impressive sales figures serve as a positive signal for the real estate sector in Delhi, suggesting a potential resurgence in housing development and investment prospects in the region as the DDA continues to adapt to market demands.
