Russia’s War with Ukraine. Day 1477
Ukrainian investigators have uncovered irregularities in bread procurement for the National Guard, leading to significant financial losses.
Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation has reported that irregularities in bread procurement for the National Guard in the Khmelnytskyi region led to a financial loss of around 1.5 million hryvnias (approximately 123,800 PLN). The investigation revealed that the amount of bread delivered was less than what was recorded in official documentation. The frauds occurred between February and October 2022 and involved the deputy commander of the National Guard unit as well as the director and two employees of the supplying bakery.
In a separate development, 20 residents from the Donetsk region were evacuated to Rivne Oblast, with Oleksandr Kowal, the governor of Rivne Oblast, announcing that the evacuees included individuals from Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, and Dobropillia. This marks the first evacuation train from the Donetsk region to Rivne Oblast this year, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian efforts amid the tumult of the conflict in Ukraine.
Lastly, explosions were reported in Sochi, where the mayor of the city in Krasnodar Krai confirmed the occurrence of these events. While the implications of these explosions remain under investigation, they signify continued tensions and military conflicts in regions linked to the war effort. This situation underlines the broader consequences of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, impacting not only those directly involved but also nearby regions affected by the fallout.
