PGR was alerted in November that Vorcaro obtained confidential investigation data against him
In November, the Brazilian Federal Prosecutor's Office was informed that confidential investigation data was being hacked and leaked to Daniel Vorcaro, a former banker under investigation.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office (PGR) of Brazil was notified in November that Daniel Vorcaro's cellphone, seized by authorities, had been hacked and supplied him with confidential information regarding an ongoing investigation against him. The Federal Police discovered that such data breaches had been occurring since July 2025, which means classified information was potentially compromised even during the initial phase of Operation Compliance Zero, the investigation that led to Vorcaro's arrest.
Vorcaro, who was apprehended on November 17 while attempting to board a flight abroad, is suspected by the Federal Police of trying to flee the country but claims he was traveling to meet with investors interested in acquiring Banco Master. The investigation reveals that on July 24, Vorcaro was sent documents in PDF format by Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, nicknamed 'Sicário,' indicating ongoing exchanges of sensitive information related to the investigations against him.
This situation raises serious concerns about the integrity of the investigation process, highlighting potential vulnerabilities in how confidential materials are handled by law enforcement. It also underscores the need for stricter regulations and safeguards to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information, as well as further scrutiny of individuals involved in such high-profile investigations in Brazil.
