This Morning's Subzero 'Flower Snatching Cold'... Weak Rain on the West Coast of Incheon and Gyeonggi

The morning temperatures across South Korea are sub-zero, with weak rain expected on the west coast of Incheon and Gyeonggi.

On Wednesday, November 11, chilly weather is being observed nationwide in South Korea, with morning temperatures dipping below zero in many regions. The Korea Meteorological Administration has forecasted the day's temperatures to align closely with the seasonal averages, suggesting a significant temperature differential between day and night, particularly in inland areas, which may reach around 15 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to be mindful of health issues arising from these conditions.

Morning low temperatures in major cities are reported as follows: Seoul at 0°C, Incheon at 1°C, Chuncheon at -3°C, Gangneung at 2°C, Daejeon at -2°C, Daegu at 1°C, Jeonju at -2°C, Gwangju at 0°C, Busan at 4°C, and Jeju at 5°C. Predicted daytime highs are slightly higher, with Seoul expected to reach 9°C and Busan reaching up to 12°C. Additionally, there are light showers forecasted for the west coast areas of Incheon and Gyeonggi, along with northern Chungnam, with rainfall amounts expected to be less than 0.1mm.

Starting from the following day, rain or snow is anticipated across the eastern coastal regions and mountainous areas of Gangwon, as well as parts of the Gyeongsang region, which has been experiencing very dry conditions. This precipitation is expected to alleviate some of that dryness. Furthermore, the fine dust level is projected to be 'bad' in several areas including northern Gyeonggi and Seoul, indicating potential air quality concerns for the populace.
