This is how the weather will be during the five-mile race

The weather forecast suggests mild conditions with a couple of plus degrees for Saturday, but there may still be clouds and fog in Holmenkollen during the five-mile race event.

This week, the weather is expected to be relatively mild, particularly on Saturday, when participants in the five-mile race can expect temperatures slightly above freezing, according to state meteorologist Ingrid Bentsen. While optimistic attendees hope for clear skies, the forecast suggests that some clouds may obscure the sun; nonetheless, light winds and periods of dry weather are expected during the race at Holmenkollen. Overall, Saturday is projected to be the best day of the week for weather conditions.

In contrast, the preceding days from Wednesday to Friday are predicted to bring wet and gray conditions to Østlandet and Sørlandet regions. Yet, attendees can find some solace in the fact that weather conditions on the coast will be somewhat better compared to the western regions of Norway, which are expected to experience consistent rain throughout the week. Meteorologist Bentsen pointed out, "For those in the west, it seems they are facing the worst of the weather this week."

As for the mountainous regions, conditions will be cooler. Coastal areas are forecasted to see temperatures around 4 to 5 degrees Celsius, along with occasional wind gusts. In Trøndelag, while there may be some sunny periods, the weather is unlikely to drastically improve, leaving the region without a clear winner in terms of favorable conditions for outdoor activities throughout the week.
