SENAI Caruaru opens 260 free positions in exclusive courses for women; learn how to register

SENAI Caruaru is offering 260 free professional training positions exclusively for women as part of a special initiative for Women's Month.

The National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI) in Caruaru, located in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, Brazil, has announced a significant initiative to empower women through education by offering 260 scholarships for vocational courses geared specifically for them. This opportunity coincides with Women’s Month, highlighting the importance of female participation in various sectors, particularly in areas traditionally dominated by men such as industry and logistics. The courses available cover 11 different groups and span vital skills such as cake and pastry making, candy and jam production, forklift operation, and basic industrial sewing techniques.

The initiative reflects a broader trend of encouraging women’s involvement in skilled trades which often face gender disparities. The courses aim not only to increase women's skills but also to enhance their employment opportunities in the local workforce. With the online registration process, the program is accessible to a broader audience, ensuring that women from varied backgrounds have the chance to participate and gain valuable certifications.

Classes will be conducted in SENAI facilities as well as in partner centers distributed throughout the city, ensuring convenience and accessibility for participants. To qualify for the scholarships, applicants must be at least 16 years old, excluding those applying for the forklift operation course, thereby allowing for greater diversity in age and experience among the applicants. This move by SENAI Caruaru not only supports women’s development but also contributes to the economic strengthening of the region by empowering its female population with essential skills and training.
