Tartu Bigbank volleyball club has announced the appointment of Andrei Ojamets as its new head coach, following the termination of the collaboration with former coach Alar Rikberg. Ojamets, who previously served as the assistant coach and head coach for the women's team, is expected to bring valuable experience to the role. The club emphasized that Ojamets has demonstrated his capabilities in similar situations in the past, which has led to confidence in his leadership during challenging times.

Alongside Ojamets, Valentin Kordas has been appointed as the assistant coach, returning to the team after overcoming significant health challenges. Club director Hendrik Rikand expressed optimism about the potential contributions of both Ojamets and Kordas, highlighting their familiarity with the club's internal dynamics. Rikand noted that Kordas may also have been considered in a player role, but the decision to involve him on the coaching staff respects his recovery process and maximizes his current capabilities.

The coaching duo of Ojamets and Kordas has previously proven to be adept at managing difficult situations, particularly during their time with the women's team.
