The Civil Police of Maranhão have identified a total of ten suspects involved in the murder of Domingos Macau Ferreira, known as Romário, who was shot dead while returning home from work in the rural area of Matinha. This tragic event occurred on Friday, October 6, and has since drawing significant police attention as they began their investigation into the crime and the individuals surrounding it. Initially, four suspects were connected to the crime, of which three were apprehended shortly after the incident.

During the course of the investigation, the police uncovered additional suspects, bringing the total to ten individuals linked to the murder. As of now, five suspects have been arrested, while two have died; one committed suicide and another fell during a confrontation with police forces.
