Announced when and where to say goodbye to Česlovas Norvaiša

The farewell for Česlovas Norvaiša will take place at the Kaunas Cultural Center on March 11 and 12 before his burial.

Česlovas Norvaiša, a renowned sports dance master, is set to be honored at a farewell event in the Kaunas Cultural Center on March 11 from 3 PM to 10 PM and March 12 from 9 AM to 2 PM. His urn will be taken out on March 12 at 2 PM, after which a burial ceremony will follow at the Petrašiūnai cemetery. The public is invited to pay their respects, and a mass will be held in his memory at the Kaunas Cathedral Basilica on March 12 at 8 AM.

The announcement of Norvaiša's passing has deeply affected everyone who knew him, worked with him, or admired his talent and character. His wife, Jūratė Norvaišienė, a dance coach and doctor, expressed the profound sorrow felt by the family, emphasizing that they did not anticipate his sudden passing at home. The couple faced medical challenges as Norvaiša had been experiencing health problems related to his lungs and heart, which led to his hospitalization just days before he passed away.

Jūratė shared her pain and described how her husband had not fully revealed the extent of his health issues before his demise, leading to a shocking loss. This tragedy highlights the fragility of life and the impact one individual can have on their community, especially in artistic circles where Norvaiša was highly regarded. The farewell events not only serve as a tribute to his legacy but also provide a communal space for grieving and remembrance among friends, family, and admirers.
