In light of potential changes in international relations, particularly with respect to aggressor states, Latvia's volleyball authority has proposed that Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, and possibly Ukraine be separated from a zonal association that includes these aggressor nations. The Latvian Volleyball Federation (LVF) emphasized this concern, highlighting the importance of maintaining the integrity of youth sports in the region.

This proposed change has received backing not only from the Baltic states but also from Ukraine, underscoring the regional significance of this issue.
