The President of Navarra, María Chivite, announced a strategic investment agreement with the Chinese battery manufacturer Hithium, which plans to build a factory in Navarra worth 400 million euros. This factory is expected to create an initial 750 direct jobs, with an additional 300 to follow in the subsequent phase. Chivite emphasized that the decision for Hithium to establish its European factory in Navarra was attributed to the region's robust renewable energy ecosystem, a key factor for attracting such significant investment.
