The operation of 20 industrial parks linked to the Mexico Plan begins
Mexican developers have launched the first 20 industrial parks under the Mexico Plan, which aims for 100 such developments and is projected to create approximately 62,000 direct jobs.
Developers affiliated with the Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (AMPIP) have commenced operations on the initial 20 industrial parks connected to the ambitious Mexico Plan, which targets a total of 100 developments. This phase represents an investment exceeding $711 million, offering space for around 245 companies. Claudia Esteves, the director general of AMPIP, emphasized that the inauguration of these parks demonstrates cooperative efforts with the Mexican government to bolster the country's industrial and economic landscape.
These projects, driven by 15 industrial real estate developers, provide a significant footprint across 3.5 million square meters of installed capacity across key states including Nuevo LeΓ³n, Baja California, Chihuahua, Jalisco, and Mexico City. The AMPIP reported that these parks not only enhance regional industrial capabilities but are also poised to generate approximately 62,000 direct jobs, indicating a substantial economic benefit for the areas involved.
As Mexico aims to expand its industrial base and attract foreign investment, the successful operation of these parks could pave the way for future developments and partnerships. The focus on specific regions highlights the government's strategic decisions in economic planning and prioritization of areas that are essential for industrial growth, promising a more diversified economic landscape for the nation.
