Mint Bureau's 'Sakura Passage' This Year from April 9 to 15, Pre-Registration Required

The Osaka Mint Bureau will host its annual 'Sakura Passage' event from April 9 to 15, requiring pre-registration for visitors.

The Osaka Mint Bureau has announced that this year's traditional 'Sakura Passage' event will take place from April 9 to 15, during which visitors can enjoy a 560-meter-long cherry blossom walkway featuring 140 varieties and a total of 331 cherry trees. The event is expected to attract up to approximately 306,000 attendees, reflecting the growing popularity of cherry blossom viewings in Japan.

Visitors will be able to experience the beauty of cherry blossoms during designated hours, with weekdays opening at 10 AM and weekends at 9 AM, closing at 7:15 PM. Due to the high interest in this event, pre-registration is mandatory and will be available starting April 18. Registration will be conducted through a dedicated website, following a first-come, first-served policy for specific time slots each day.

For inquiries and assistance, a dedicated phone line will be available from April 18 during the same operational hours. This event represents a significant cultural celebration in Japan, highlighting the tradition of hanami (flower viewing) and its importance to the local community and visitors alike.
