Gustavo Victor da Silva, a 27-year-old man, has been apprehended and is suspected of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl during a trip from São Paulo to Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais. Da Silva has a troubling criminal past, with seven previous arrests for fraud and additional charges stemming from various offenses including illegal possession of firearms, robbery, and homicide. The investigation began when the Police Military received reports about the girl's disappearance, which led them to contact her father, who confirmed she had left home without permission.

The police conducted searches and tracked the girl down to a residence in Uberlândia, where they located her. Da Silva was apprehended during a police operation on the BR-070 highway in Águas Lindas de Goiás. Following his arrest, he now faces serious new charges of kidnapping and vulnerable rape, alongside his existing criminal history.
