In a major operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tarn Taran, Punjab, shot dead a Pakistani smuggler who was trying to infiltrate into India from the Pakistan-India border. The incident took place in the Khemkaran sector during the night, where the smuggler was attempting to cross the border presumably to engage in heroin trafficking.
