Houston is moving forward with one of the most ambitious urban projects in recent years: the restoration of the former Camp Logan within Memorial Park. Known as Memorial Groves, this new space will pay tribute to World War I veterans while simultaneously offering new recreational areas for the community to enjoy. Almost a year after the official announcement, the Memorial Park Conservancy has released new details about the themed children's playground, the visitor center, and the improvement of one of the park's most used trails.

The initiative received a significant boost from a recent $7.5 million donation from the Jerold B. Katz Foundation, underscoring the project's importance to the city.
