Juanma Moreno believes that Vox will deflate when it assumes government responsibilities "or when Sancheism disappears"
Juanma Moreno, President of the Junta of Andalusia, expressed confidence that the political party Vox will lose influence when it begins governing or when the current political situation under Pedro Sánchez ends.
In a recent broadcast on Antena 3's program El Hormiguero, Juanma Moreno, the President of the Junta of Andalusia, discussed the rise of the Vox party in recent elections. He stated that he believes Vox will struggle to maintain its momentum once it starts to take on governmental responsibilities or if the political landscape changes significantly, particularly reference to the leadership of Pedro Sánchez. Moreno suggested that both Vox and Sánchez's socialist government have a symbiotic relationship that helps fuel each other's agendas.
Moreno's remarks come as the political climate in Andalusia is heating up with regional elections approaching. Survey results suggest that Vox’s growth threatens the absolute majority of the conservative People's Party (PP) in the region. During the interview, Moreno emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the area and urged the people of Andalusia to focus on unity rather than conflict. His comments reflect a broader concern about the implications of rising far-right politics in Spain and the importance of protecting democratic stability.
Additionally, Moreno opened up about personal challenges he has faced, including seeking psychological help following a traumatic experience from an accident in Adamuz. This transparency in sharing personal struggles highlights the human side of political leadership amidst the ongoing challenges in the region's political scene.
