Video shows police action that arrested suspects of trafficking crack in Piracicaba
Police in Piracicaba arrested two men for drug trafficking, seizing a significant amount of crack and related paraphernalia from their possession.
On Monday afternoon, the Civil Police in Piracicaba, São Paulo, conducted an operation leading to the arrest of two individuals suspected of drug trafficking. Video footage captured the moment authorities detained the suspects, who were found in possession of 242 packaged doses of crack cocaine and two bricks of the substance. The operation took place in the Jardim Paraíso neighborhood, where the suspects were actively preparing and packaging the drugs for sale.
One of the arrested suspects, known by the nickname Gordão, was identified as a 30-year-old trafficker responsible for the daily preparation of crack for distribution at a well-known local selling point named "Travessa Esplanada." Alongside him, an 18-year-old identified as Oreia was also apprehended. In addition to the drugs, police seized a knife, a blade, a plate, and plastic bags used for packaging, all of which indicate their ongoing criminal activities.
The case has been documented at the Specialized Division of Criminal Investigation (Deic) in Piracicaba and highlights the ongoing issues surrounding drug trafficking in the region. This police operation not only underscores the efforts of law enforcement in combating drug-related crime but also reflects broader societal challenges posed by the trafficking issue in Brazil, particularly in urban areas where such activities tend to proliferate.
