Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that 11 countries have approached Ukraine for assistance in dealing with Iranian drones, which have been notably employed by Russia in its ongoing conflict with Ukraine. Zelenskyy highlighted the increasing international interest in Ukraine’s military capabilities, particularly in intercepting drones, as these threats escalate, particularly in the context of retaliatory actions being taken by Iran due to U.S.-Israeli strikes.

Ukraine has maintained a robust defense against drone attacks, successfully intercepting or shooting down over 80% of incoming Russian drones, specifically targeting Iranian-designed Shahed attack drones. These drones have not only impacted the battlefield in Ukraine but have also been utilized in strikes targeting various locations in the Middle East, illustrating the broader implications of the conflict. Zelenskyy mentioned that requests for training and assistance in electronic warfare systems have come from countries in proximity to Iran, as well as European nations and the United States.

Some Ukrainian drone experts are already being deployed to the Middle East to provide expertise in protecting lives and countering drone threats. This collaboration underscores Ukraine's evolving role in international military strategy and reflects the growing interdependence of nations in combating shared security challenges, particularly in the face of aggressive drone warfare tactics utilized by adversaries.
