Explora Journeys: Triple shipbuilding milestone in Genoa - The development of the ultra-luxury fleet is accelerating until 2028
Explora Journeys is rapidly advancing its ultra-luxury fleet development with significant milestones reached in Genoa as part of an ambitious investment program.
Explora Journeys, the marine travel brand under MSC Group, is making rapid progress in developing its new ultra-luxury fleet while accelerating its ambitious investment program in the shipbuilding industry. A symbolic triple ceremony took place at the Sestri Ponente shipyard of Fincantieri in Genoa, marking three significant milestones in the construction of the company's new vessels: the launching of EXPLORA IV, the coin placement ceremony for EXPLORA V, and the cutting of the first steel for EXPLORA VI.
With these developments, Explora Journeys reaffirms its strategy to create a fleet of six ultra-luxurious ships by 2028, thereby strengthening its presence in the international market for high-end cruises. During the triple ceremony, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of the Cruise Division of the MSC Group, was joined by Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys, and Pierroberto Folgiero, the CEO of Fincantieri, highlighting the collaborative efforts in achieving these milestones.
These advancements in shipbuilding not only signify a commitment to expanding luxury travel options but also indicate a broader trend in the cruise industry towards more sophisticated and environmentally conscious vessels. As demand for luxury cruises continues to grow, Explora Journeys is positioning itself prominently in this competitive landscape, aiming to redefine the cruising experience with unmatched service and design.
