This assertion comes in light of the ongoing conflict, where Sirskis noted that for the first time since the Kursk offensive operation in 2024, Ukrainian troops have regained control over a larger portion of territory compared to what the enemy had taken during the same period. The recent advancements show Ukraine's ability to recover strategic areas lost previously to Russian aggression.
According to Sirskis, significant progress has been made in the Oleksandrivka region, where Ukrainian airborne assault troops have regained control of over 285.6 square kilometers in just one month. Overall, the Ukrainian military has reclaimed more than 400 square kilometers of territory since the beginning of the operation. This raises the prospect of shifting the dynamics on the battlefield, as Ukraine seeks to assert its operational dominance over Russian forces, which currently hold a numerical advantage nearly three times that of Ukraine's armed services.
