A collision between a school bus and an interprovincial transport bus in Ecuador has caused significant traffic delays on the road leading to Daule.
On Monday morning, a school transportation bus collided with an interprovincial bus on the highway to Daule, near kilometer 24, which connects the canton of Daule with northwestern Guayaquil. The accident, occurring before 7:30 AM, led to extensive traffic congestion in the area as vehicles were caught up in the aftermath of the collision. Emergency services and traffic police arrived promptly to manage the situation.
The school bus reportedly sustained damage to its front, with a damaged windshield being among the visible impacts, while the interprovincial bus used for the Pedro Carbo-Guayaquil route was affected at the rear.
